Request to pursue studies in aviation form

This form is intended for use by students requesting a change of degree program to pursue studies in aviation as well as students who did not declare their intention to pursue aviation at the time of admission to the University.

Please note:

  • BA students must formally declare a non-aviation major by the end of their second year (or upon completion of 54 credits). The regulation requiring a Minor is waived for students pursuing Arts – Aviation.
  • BSc students pursuing aviation must formally declare a major in Aviation and a non-aviation minor by the end of their second year (or upon completion of 54 credits).
  • BComm students pursuing Commerce – Aviation are not required to declare a major nor a minor area of study.
  • Students applying to transfer from a different degree program to the Commerce — Aviation program must meet specific criteria outlined in section 11.5.13 of the academic calendar.
  • Students applying to transfer from a different degree program to the BSc degree with major in aviation should have completed the Science Core as well as foundational courses for the program with grades sufficient for progression.

Aviation students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree must complete a major in any discipline offered for a BA degree (no minor required).
BSc students are required to declare at least one minor. Commerce and Arts — Aviation students are not required to complete a minor.
