Position description

The Department of Politics and International Relations at 91AV invites applications from persons interested in teaching, by stipendiary (part time) appointment:

Fall Term:

POLS/INLR 2301 – Introduction to International Relations
2nd-year course
Anticipated enrollment 40 students
Fall 2025 Semester (September 2nd to December 31st)
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30pm to 3:50pm

Winter Term:

POLS/INLR 2301 – Introduction to International Relations
2nd-year course
Anticipated enrollment 40 students
Winter 2026 Semester (January 7th to April 30th)
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 11:30am to 12:20pm

POLS 2001 – Democratic Thought
2nd-year course
Anticipated enrollment 40 students
Winter 2026 Semester (January 7th to April 30th)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30pm to 3:50pm

POLS 3001 – Ancient Political Thought
3rd-year course
Anticipated enrollment 25 students

Applicants must have a PhD in political science and teaching experience in the field.  Each course involves approximately 3 hours of class time per week. Note: the Fall and Winter term POLS/INLR 2301 courses are separate half year courses.  Teaching will be in person.
